A Vision for B-A-Light Children's Ministries

"In the same way you should be a light for other people." Matt. 5:16

As the Children's Pastor at the Church of God at Southaven I see the need to meet the spiritual needs of the children with in our community. Our children's ministry is focused in doing that by targeting three key areas:

• Outreach - Take kids church to the kids
  • At local festivals
  • Having community minded events
  • Bus ministry


• Teach - Instill biblical principles in their lives
  • Salvation - a real, personal relationship with God
  • Worship - through music, drama, etc. with the understanding that worship is more than singing songs
  • Faithfulness - to God, their family and their church
  • Service - sharing God's love with others in their lives


• Personal Growth - cultivating their relationship with God
  • Baptism of the Holy Spirit
  • Use of the Armor of God

At B-A-Light we provide an environment that is kid friendly and based on their comprehension level. I believe that in an age where children are constantly entertained, we should provide the gospel in a fashion that will appeal to them and yet they may still learn from.
